The Attorney-General has tabled the Commission’s Guardianship: Final report. The report argues that the state’s guardianship laws need to be modernised because they are overly complex and have not kept up with the range of people who use the system.
The Commission has recommended introducing a new Guardianship Act that is simple and accessible to better meet the needs of our changing population.
