Assistance Animals - Home

The commission's final report on assistance animals was launched on 29 January 2009.  The report can be accessed online or ordered from the commission. Versions are also available in accessible formats. 

The report makes recommendations aimed at improving the legal protection for people with disabilities who rely on assistance animals. 

The commission released a Consultation Paper in September 2008. A community forum was also held to gather views about how law could be improved.
