Suggest a Community Law Reform Project

The easiest way to suggest a community law reform idea is to fill in the online suggestion form. You can make a suggestion at any time.

It will ask you to describe your suggestion and explain how it will benefit the community.

Please read the Criteria for Projects before you start.

Suggestions for community law reform are generally taken on board as projects when the changes required to the law are quite minor, it will not strain the commission’s resources and there is a clear benefit to the community.

The commission cannot take on every law reform idea suggested to us. Generally we can only complete two projects a year.

We will let you know we have received your suggestion. We will then contact you further about its progress. All suggestions are considered within three months.

If you need more information, or would like to talk about Community Law Reform, please contact the Project Officer, Simone Marrocco, by emailing simone.marrocco@lawreform.vic.gov.au, or phoning 8619 8619, 1300 666 555 (freecall outside the metro area) or TTY 1300 666 557.
