Assisted Reproductive Technology & Adoption: Position Paper Two - Parentage
The commission released its Assisted Reproductive Technology & Adoption: Position Paper Two—Parentage on 22 July 2005. This was the second in a series of three papers which outlined the commission's interim recommendations and gave people a chance to comment before preparation of a final report.
The paper called for comment by 31 August 2005 and the commission received over 350 submissions.
The paper includes information and interim recommendations on:
- how the law recognises parents
- status of same-sex couples as parents
- status of gamete donors
- access to information about donors and children conceived with donated gametes
- adoption.
