Civil Justice Review
The commission's Civil Justice Review: Report was launched on 28 May 2008.
The review began on 4 September 2006 under the guidance of full-time commissioner Associate Professor Peter Cashman.
The commission released a consultation paper in September 2006 and submissions were due by 30 November 2006.
A set of draft proposals was released in July 2007 and 30 submissions were received in response. A second set of draft proposals was released in September 2007.
A draft report was delivered to the Attorney-General on 4 March 2008. The report suggests areas for future law reform and identifies changes which will reduce the cost, complexity and length of civil trials.
