Guardianship
In June 2009 the government asked the commission to review guardianship and administration in Victoria.
Law about guardianship and administration affects people who have someone appointed to make decisions for them because their decision making capacity is impaired.
The commission plans to release an Information Paper in the coming months. This paper will summarise the topic and ask people to tell us:
- what is wrong with the law
- what works well
- how the law can be improved.
If you would like to keep informed about this project, or would like a copy of this paper, please contact us to join our contacts list.
The commission has been asked to report to government by June 2011.
