Surveillance in Public Places
The commission's Surveillance in Public Places: Consultation Paper was released in March 2009.
The paper invites submissions from the public. It also contains an explanation of the current law, proposals for reform and questions to assist with submissions.
The deadline for submissions is 30 June 2009.
The Surveillance in Public Places project is the second phase of our Workplace Privacy reference. The commission must consider whether changes to the law are needed to ensure that the interests of those who use surveillance can be balanced with the requirements of personal privacy.
