ART recommendations get green light

The Victorian Attorney-General Rob Hulls has announced the government will implement almost all of the recommendations from the commission's Assisted Reproductive Technology & Adoption Final Report.

Speaking on Friday 14 December, Mr Hulls said the government would implement the recommendations subject to working through practical implementation issues.

He said the government rejected the commission's recommendation about donor information laws and would refer recommendations about adoption to the Ministerial Council of Community Services Ministers for "further consideration".
