Examining Aspects of Family Violence Intervention Orders for Children and Young Adults: Stage 1: Submissions

Submissions to Stage 1 of the Commission’s project Examining Aspects of Family Violence Intervention Orders for Children and Young People have now closed.

The Commission received the following 14 submissions to Stage 1 which examined whether reform is needed to ensure a child can continue to have the protection of a family violence intervention order after they turn 18. None of the submissions received were confidential.

The submissions below are published with the permission of those who submitted them. The Commission does not publish submissions that are confidential, offensive, defamatory or do not relate to the project. Private information has been de-identified. Information that may identify parties to family violence proceedings has also been redacted in accordance with the law. Opinions in submissions are those of the submitter not the Commission.

Some of the issues raised in these submissions relate to Stage 2 of this project which will be commenced soon.
