We currently have positions available for two Senior Research and Policy Officers and a part-time Research Assistant.

Senior Research and Policy Officer (2 positions available)

• Fixed term – full time (14 months)
• VPS 5

We are seeking two experienced Senior Research and Policy Officers to work on a new inquiry into protections for emergency workers on duty under criminal law.

The work will predominantly be in legal research, stakeholder consultations and the production of law reform publications.

Applicants should have high level legal research, policy and writing skills, strong communication skills and be able to work effectively in a small team.

Experience in law reform or community consultation will also help you succeed in this role.

Research Assistant

• Fixed term – part time
• VPS 3

We are seeking a Research Assistant to work across the Commission’s reform projects, supporting senior research and policy officers and the team leaders with law reform projects.

You will help research legal issues, prepare documents and support consultation work across several reform areas.

Applicants should have excellent writing, research and organisational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines. The person should have a strong interest in policy development and law reform.
