Submission deadline extended: Family Violence Intervention Orders for Children and Young Adults: Stage 2 – Participation in Court Proceedings

There is still time to have your say. We have extended the consultation period for community input on whether the law should be reformed to enhance young victim survivors’ participation in family violence intervention order (FVIO) matters.

Submissions are now open until 13 November 2026.

Please email FVIOs.children@lawreform.vic.gov.au to make a submission or talk to us about contributing to the project.

Our issues paper includes questions to guide discussion and community responses about potential reform. 

We want to hear from people and organisations who have experience, expertise or an interest in these issues.

Community input will help shape our recommendations for reform.
